Island Prime Metro Steaks & Seafood: This restaurant is absolutely beautiful when it comes to decor and scenery. Indoor window seating places you on a ledge right over the waters overlooking the San Diego Bay while outside you can not only hear but actually see the currents hitting up against the harbor shore. The service is also very good. Servers have personality and they give you time to take in the view without making you wait forever for the food. But at that price I wouldn't expect anything but excellent service. The food, however, is a different story. I've been there on many different occasions and have tried everything from the ahi tuna stack to the lobster truffle mac n cheese and each time I've been thoroughly disappointed. The food is so boring and bland to a point where a piece of sandpaper dash with a few drops of soy sauce or seasoned with anything other than pure salt and pepper will seem more appetizing. The food here is really c-level (no pun intended). Sadly, the view is all this restaurant has to offer.
